Binah has officially broken ground on Levande Oatlands, joining Levande, Oatlands Golf Club and project partners on site to celebrate the start of construction. The milestone was marked by a ground-breaking ceremony, bringing together key stakeholders across the project, beginning with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, followed by the turning of the first soil.
The project is the beginning of a new partnership between Binah and Levande, established on a foundation of trust and early alignment. As Khalil Hafza, Managing Director at Binah, shared, “Throughout the ECI process led by Levande and the Essence team, we signed contracts on Friday and started work on Monday. It’s not something that normally happens in construction, but it’s a testament to the hard work, intensity and commitment from our team and all parties that made it happen.”
Speaking on the partnership, Kevin McCoy, Chief Executive Officer at Levande, said, “Projects like this have a lot of challenges, particularly in a complex live environment like a golf course. Binah brings experience, discipline and deep understanding in what it takes to deliver quality outcomes, so we’re very pleased to have them as our partner.”
Delivering Levande Oatlands presents a unique set of challenges, with construction taking place within a live environment alongside an active golf course. This requires a carefully managed approach on site, balancing safety, access and day-to-day operations while maintaining construction progress.
Working in close coordination with all project consultants, Binah is maintaining a steady and well-managed delivery approach, focused on achieving a quality outcome for future residents and the wider Oatlands Golf Club community.
