Last week, we proudly marked a major milestone in our Build-to-Rent (BTR) development at 860–898 Bourke Street, Zetland, with our Olive Tree Ceremony - a tradition that honours longevity and shared progress.

This project is a testament to the power of aligned partnerships. From Aware Super and Barings to WMK Architecture, Essence Project Management, and the many subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers working on and off site, every contributor has played a vital role in bringing this vision to life.

Anjana Moran, CFA GAICD, Senior Portfolio Manager at Aware Super, shared, “It’s really important for us at Aware to not only deliver returns for our members, but also support the construction industry and create new housing supply in Sydney.”

Khalil Hafza, Managing Director at Binah, added, “The olive tree is symbolic of partnerships, which is exactly what this project has been built on.”

We were honoured to welcome the Honourable Rose Jackson, NSW Minister for Housing, whose presence underscored the significance of this development in addressing Sydney’s housing needs. “As a government, we are so enthusiastic to partner with you - thank you to everyone who has come here to work every day to get to this point. This is much-needed affordable rental in Sydney,” she said.

The Zetland BTR project will feature premium amenities including a gym, co-working space, rooftop BBQ area, and communal lounge - all designed to support modern, connected living.

Thank you to everyone involved. This milestone reflects what building with purpose and partnership truly looks like. We look forward to completing this project and continuing to deliver quality, accessible housing for Sydney.
